![]() ![]() CPU:Intel Pentium IV or compatible processor with SSE4.2 support. System Requirements OS:Windows 8.1,Windows 10. The new asset management system can help you find and track V-Ray assets, using a custom library that can be shared across SketchUp projects. A new V-Ray Toolbar has also been included, providing new access to top tools and simplified UI controls that will make it easier to set up cameras, adjust render settings and manage scenes. A new Scene Interaction Tool now provides direct access to any level of the SketchUp hierarchy, so you can interactively adjust materials and light properties whenever an object is selected. The GPU renderer is over 200 percent faster, accelerating nearly every V-Ray feature including fog and atmospheric effects. A new NVIDIA AI Denoiser has also been embedded, so you get automatic noise removal and clean updates as they work. Once a scene loads, Auto White Balance and Exposure return the right settings, making the entire process point-and-shoot simple. Finding the perfect camera exposure or white balance is no longer an issue. The new Adaptive Dome Light (ADL) offers more accurate, image-based environment lighting that’s up to 7x faster. Headline features include New V-Ray Scene Intelligence can now automatically analyze a 3D scene at the start of a render, optimizing some of the most common decisions you’ll make. This latest version is also immediately compatible with the new SketchUp 2021, as well as versions 2017-2019. Backed by over four years of R&D, V-Ray Next rapidly accelerates the SketchUp workflow, building massive speed and intelligence gains under the hood, so designers can produce faster, cleaner renders with little to no extra effort. Automatic scene analysis and adaptive lighting join dozens of new features, bringing more performance to the design process. Now, with a few clicks, you can create high-quality ray-traced visuals using one of the world’s most widely used design programs. V-Ray For SketchUp 2018 Version 3.06.01 and BugSplat> Whaaaa - 16-12-2017, 11:05 AM. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated too. With V-Ray Next for SketchUp we’ve boosted the speed and simplicity of SketchUp’s premier renderer. ![]() I’m careful to use components, minimize the number of materials (usually ~30 per model) and keep the geometries clean, so I assume it’s simply the way the SU for Mac is built. It doesn’t sound like much, but over the course of a home model, it adds up. For example, clicking on a material to edit it takes a full few seconds to open. I’ve been using SU for 15+ years and think it’s great for what it is, but feel the way that it handles materials is especially ridiculous. ![]() My results on the Vray benchmark were right around the minute mark.Īside from Vray, SketchUP itself doesn’t seem to benefit as much from the iMac Pro as much as I’d expected either. I honestly don’t know the disadvantage of the GPU w/CPU option over the pure GPU option in terms of render times. I’ve also dealt with quite a few crashes (hanging or crashing), but that’s a different topic.įor rendering options I have CPU and GPU (w/C++), but I’d love to hear thoughts on various settings I should/can play around with. ![]() Admittedly I’m not blown away by the iMac, but I’m also not too familiar with Vray and its settings. Reverting back to the default render settings no longer brings up the Animation options rollout in projects without a set animation. V-Ray Fur and Mesh Clipper helper objects located in empty component definitions no longer raise Ruby errors. After the download completes, locate the installer and double-click to launch. A number of V-Ray for SketchUp startup issues have been resolved. Download the V-Ray for SketchUp installer, available in your Account Management Portal. I have a base model iMac Pro and have been playing around with a trial version of Vray 3.6. If you have already downloaded SketchUp, you can follow these steps below to install V-Ray for SketchUp. ![]()
